NOTES


Noun :

- A word that identifies a person, animal, place,

thing or idea.

- Example: The dog barked at the cat.

Adjective:

- Describes, modifies, or further defines a noun or

pronoun

- Example: The clever squirrel got into the bird

feeder.

Verb :

- A Verb expresses an action or a state of being

- Example: John kicks the ball.

Adverb :

- Adverbs modify Verbs

- Example: The adverb ‘loudly’ modifies ‘plays’ in

the sentence ‘The band plays loudly’
